This is a make-ahead freezer friendly smoothie that is healthy, nutritious, and so refreshing in the morning! I feel so much better after drinking one of these in the A.M. and really energized!
Green Blueberry Smoothie
1 cup of spinach leaves
2 tbsps. of old fashioned oats
1/2 cup of frozen blueberries
1/2 cup of frozen strawberries
1/2 cup of skim milk
2 tbsps. of plain low fat Greek yogurt
1 tsp. of stevia or sweetener of your choice
Combine it all in a blender and blend well until it is smooth.
To make ahead in freezer bags:
Throw the spinach, blueberries, strawberries, oats, and sweetener (as long as it’s not a liquid) in a Ziploc bag. Write the rest of the ingredients needed on the front of your bag (milk and yogurt). When you are ready, empty the bag into the blender and add your milk and yogurt. Blend and enjoy!
